ABOUT US

Life Learning Development e.V. (LLD) was founded in Duisburg. At Life Learning Development e.V. (LLD) we believe that investments in people and the power of education would result into the remarkable transformation of people that would serve as change-makers in creating a better society for all. Through their knowledge, skills, right tools, and abilities any society can attain its required advancement and sustainable development. Creative innovations in solving man’s daily challenges are inbuilt, can be learnt and acquired if we look at all human beings as an individual and global community where there are opportunities to build a better world with no limitations. LLD e.V. was established by a team of alumni in various works of life across the globe as a platform for network and capacity building, information sharing and space for dialogue in order to ensure social good and positive impacts in their development cooperation engagements, initiatives for quality education and knowledge transfer so as to attain the sustainable development goals agenda and beyond. LLD e.V. is a migrant organisation in Germany that helps empower and integrate the migrant populace to avoid social exclusion through social programmes such as social entrepreneurship, access to information to jobs and education, digital literacy, informal vocational and educational training, professional development seminars and skills improvement workshops, board games for youth, good governance awareness and the SDGs knowledge sharing.

OUR TRAINERS

Lukman Raimi

Dr Lukman Raimi is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, the Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship major and the Chairman of the learning and development committee (LDC) at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Previously, he was the Chair of Entrepreneurship, the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Assistant Director Centre for Entrepreneurship at the American University of Nigeria (AUN). In addition, he was formerly a Principal Lecturer/Coordinator of the Training at the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria.  He is a member of the Brunei Mentors for Entrepreneurs Network (BMEN), the ASEAN Mentors for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN), the Founder’s Institute USA, and a mentor for the Tony Elumelu Foundation. He is also on the editorial board of several international journals.

Jovin Hurry

As a sustainability expert, Jovin works with enterprises, institutions and networks to get them to think through their strategies on business and sustainability, for them to stay competitively relevant in their fragmented landscapes.

Jovin currently serves as Director at Solved, a Finnish company that provides a global online marketplace for sustainability-related knowledge work where one can find, hire and work with experts-on-demand to create smart, sustainable and resource-efficient solutions. He is a Core Team Member of NELIS (Next Leaders’ Initiative for Sustainability), a Japanese-based network that empowers next-generation leaders on the future of sustainability. Diane Brüggemann

Diane Brüggemann (M.A., MBA) possess various experiences as a consultant for entrepreneurship and innovation. Within the last 12 years she has accompanied the development of several hundreds of academic startup teams, in a national and international context, as well as co-founded a startup.

She has a strong focus on educating and coaching on the topic of sustainable business model development, hereby integrating methodologies from system thinking and innovation. Additionally, she is fascinated about the issue of entrepreneurial personality traits and mindset, thus leading her to coach individuals and teams in their development to enhance their entrepreneurial potential. 

Mohammad Jaber

Mohammad Jaber is a dedicated environmental researcher, teacher, and mentor with a strong passion for addressing climate change. He has worked on various research projects in the field and has won the Sustainable Sanitation Project Prize for the MENA region during the International Water Week in Stockholm in 2017. In addition to his research, Jaber is also committed to working with youth to introduce new initiatives that address various environmental problems. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Economics at the University of Miskolc in Hungary.

Daniel Olanrewaju

Daniel is a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering, with over 5 years of experience as a skilled software engineer. He specializes in full-stack development and the building of scalable and reliable web applications while consistently seeking out new learning and growth opportunities. He possesses expertise in a variety of programming languages and frameworks and has successfully led cross-functional teams and provided mentorship to junior developers.

Sabrina Ibrahim

I am Business Graduate completed my BBA and MBA from International Islamic University Chittagong Bangladesh. Later on I pursued my Masters from Sustainable Development Management from the University of Hochschule Rhein Waal, Kleve, Germany. I am passionate about SDGs and social business. Currently  working as a Project Manager at Life Learning Development e.V, Duisburg. 

Natasha Shrestha

I hold two master’s degrees, MSc. International Management and Psychology and Master of Business Administration (MBA). I have more than 7 years of experience in the Human Resources and Administration Department. I even have experience as a lecturer in various subjects like Human Resources Management, Principles of Management, and Economics. 

Currently, I am associated with Life Learning Development handling the projects and the administration. I can speak English fluently and german at a conversational level. 

AHM Abdul Hai

Professional journalist and development activist Dr. AHM Abdul Hai has worked about five years in Deutsche Welle in Bonn since 2009. Since 2013 he has been working with BASUG Diaspora and Development as honorary Project Director. With two other colleagues he has won the Hostwriter Media Award in 2016 for their in-depth report on Bangladeshi Refugees in Germany. He is Editor of international news platform Our Voice and print magazine Die Grenze. Former MiGlobe consultant Dr. Hai has worked with Eine Welt Netz NRW/One World Network NRW in the period from 2017 to 2021 as Project Director and later as Intercultural Promotor in Duesseldorf Region.

Christabel Okeke

Christabel Okeke is a project assistant at Afridat Research & Innovation LTD. She’s a student at the Lagos state university majoring in Health Education. Her role is to assist in project management.

Funsho Olamoyegun

Olamoyegun Funsho Philip is a graduate of computer engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. He is a highly creative and skilled designer with a passion for solving daily problems using design. His objective is to create outstanding solutions that positively impact people’s lives. With his talent and dedication, he strives to make a difference in the world through design.

Vanessa Daswani

EMBA and ICF ACC Accredite Executive Business Coach. With over 15 years experience in corporate setting, specialised .in the textile industry. Pairs business know-how with a purpose driven passion for leadership and environmental issues. Focusing on coaching business leaders in their sustainable business transformation towards more conscious organizations.

Jara Pascual

Jara Pascual, MBA and Master of Telecommunication Engineering, is founder and CEO of Collabwith, an author and an entrepreneur focused on innovation. Collabwith is an online platform bringing people together and encouraging collaborations online and offline. As a board member of the Forum Knowledge4Innovation, her voice is heard regularly at the European Parliament discussing the topics of female investment, digitalization, from Lab to Market and academia-industry collaboration. She is also the host of the Innovation Podcast “Business of Collaboration”. Chair of the WG Innovation Ecosystems at AIOTI and Co-founder EuroSpaceHub. She writes about innovation and collaboration management for different online magazines, is a telecommunications engineer and has worked for 15 years in Innovation Management doing transformational innovation culture and projects in a number of Fortune 500 Companies and R&D Labs.

Theophilus Alaba

I am Theophilus Alaba, a Graphic Designer and a Video Creator/Editor currently working at Afridat Research & Innovation GmbH with over 4 years’ experience in the creative industry helping businesses and organizations reach their visibility goals with stunning Designs and attention grabbing Videos that are detailed oriented. 

Ronke Adeniyi

My name is Ronke Adeniyi, I am currently a PhD candidate of Environmental Systems and Climate Change, under the World Bank African Center for Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE), Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB). I have Masters degree in Crop Management from the Federal University of Technology,Akure and a Bachelor of Agriculture from University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

I have over ten years of agricultural expertise, including public and private sector interaction, project framework development, trainings and capacity building.

My research interests cut across the field of agriculture, climate change, and environmental systems, alongside other related areas like climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, environmental pollution control and safety, food security, climate-smart agriculture, AgResearch and sustainable development.

Dr.-Ing. Ibrahim K. Muritala

Dr.-Ing. Ibrahim K. Muritala is a Co-founder and legal representative of Life learning Development e.V., Duisburg, Germany. He is an educator and researcher in the area of chemical (process) engineering with demonstrated hands-on experience and a history of work in higher education institutions, the research sector, the energy, oil, and gas industry. A fellow of the African Good Governance Network (AGGN), a think tanker, and co-founder of many organisations including Network of Africans, Freiberg (NAF). In LLD, Dr. Ibrahim's roles are to ensure best practices and quality control in all areas of LLD’s activities with a focus on projects and programs content development of all operations.

Natasha Shrestha

Natasha Shrestha is associated with Life Learning Development e.V., since October 2022 as a European project designer & project manager, and coordinator of the team on research and implementation of the Erasmus+ project. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Master’s Degree in International Management and Psychology M.Sc. Her strong passion lies in social inclusion, social development, social entrepreneurship, social mobility, upskilling immigrants and utilising Non-Formal Education to promote personal growth. She speaks fluently Nepali, English and German

Durvish Sehgal is the assistant to the project managers at Life Learning Development e.V. which is Located in Duisburg, Germany. He has completed his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on project management. Currently he has become a part of the Dissemination and Communication team. His responsibilities include social media post design, project dissemination plan and activities, project communication plan etc. In addition to these responsibilities his hobbies include, listening to music, reading books, writing poems, drawing etc. Topics such as astrophysics, art, music, movie production, anime are some areas that he is passionate about.

Sabrina Ibrahim

Sabrina Ibrahim is a Project manager and trainer at Life Learning Development e.V., Germany. She completed her BBA and MBA in Business studies with a major in finance and Banking from Bangladesh. Later on, she pursued her second master's in Sustainable Development Management from Germany. She is passionate about Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development. Her role in LLD e.V. is to ensure the project runs smoothly and meets all deadlines. As a project manager, her task involves planning, designing projects, organizing events, writing reports, and conducting research. Besides, she also supports the design team with her creative ideas and thoughts.
